The DS200SDCCG5AHD is a drive control card for certain Mark V Speedtronic applications.

G2 versions of this board were never manufactured, but there are G1, G3, G4, and G5 versions.  Please be sure to order the correct board for your application. This board was replaced by the DS215SDCC circuit board.  It is important to note these boards are not backward compatible due to added components on the DS215 board.

The DS200SDCCG5AHD contains the main control circuitry and software needed for a drive or an exciter.  The board includes interface circuitry to allow it to connect to and communicate with other boards, and to process signals from these boards.    The board includes a number of advanced Xilinx chip components along with other integrated circuits.  This includes the drive control processor and a motor control processor as well as a co-motor processor.

Other board components include multiple resistor network arrays,  jumper switches, DIP switches,  a reset button, and a number of capacitors, resistors, and diodes.  The board also has vertical pin connectors along with several sets of standoffs that allow daughterboards to be mounted to the SDCC to increase and expand its capabilities.

The DS200SDCCG5AHD is marked with the GE logo and with the board id number.  It has been drilled at each corner to allow for mounting.

The DS200SDCCG5A GE Drive Control Board is the primary controller for the drive and is populated with 3 microprocessors and RAM that can be accessed by multiple microprocessors at the same time. These microprocessors are assigned a specific task involved in the drive control processing and have installed on them the firmware and hardware required to perform the tasks. This boards primary function is an input output located in the C core in the GE Speedtronic MKV panel. The MKV controls and protects the turbine through the CSP.

The circuit boards main function is NOx detection and emergency overspeed. It features five EPROM connectors for storing configuration software with four of the EPROM modules storing configuration parameters that are assigned in the factory. The leaves the last remaining EPROM module to store configuration parameters that are assigned by the user or servicer. Though this board is populated with EPROM chip modules you must use the one from the original board as they contain all the configuration data you need so you can quickly bring the drive back online and avoid any loss in productivity or downtime.

The board also contains jumpers that are set to configure the board as well as connectors and standoffs allowing you to attach auxillary cards with screws inserted in the standoffs, then connect a cable from the auxiliary card to the board. The aux cards will enable you to connect to a local area network or add to the signal processing capabilities of the board.
