The IS200BPIAG1AEB is a Drive Bridge Personality Interface Card manufactured by General Electric for their Mark VI series. The MKVI is one of the most recent steam/gas heavy-duty turbine management systems in the Speedtronic line released by GE. The MKVI offers complete control, protection, and monitoring of heavy-duty turbine systems, and is adaptable and scalable for the use in a variety of applications. The IS200BPIAG1AEB provides a connection between the control and power electronics of an IGBT ac drive. The IS200BPIAG1AEB is designed with seven board connectors. This includes its primary P1 connector that connects into the rack system and handles a variety of signals, including gate drive and shunt fault signals, application data from the BPIA board, and some bridge control connections. The board has six other male vertical pin connectors (APL, BPL, CPL, AAPL, BAPL, CAPL,) that provide connections to the phase A/B/C IGBTs.
The IS200BPIAG1AEB has three transformers, six transistors, and nine resistor network arrays. It also has a 1024-bit memory device to hold revision and board information.
The IS200BPIAG1 developed by General Electric is a circuit board component manufactured for the Mark VI series for gas and steam turbine management. The board functions primarily as a Bridge Personality Interface Board, which allows for an interface between the control and power electronics of an IGBT 3-phase ac drive. This includes three isolated VCO feedback circuits that monitor the dc link, six isolated IGBT gate driver circuits, VAB and VBC output voltages. The board is populated with nine isolated power supplies that are derived from secondaries of the three transformers located on the board, one per phase. It also has six plug connectors located near the transformers that connect to the phase A, B, and C IGBTs. There is one single backplane connector that plugs the board into the rack system.
High speed and fail-safe disable lines for fault control and gate driver disable are also provided through this connector. This board is built with a narrow front panel and must be handled by qualified professionals as damage to the board may occur if the board is improperly installed. The board includes a serial 1024-bit memory device for board id and revision information. The board also includes nine resistor network arrays, multiple integrated circuits, metal film resistors, transistors and capacitors of various materials.
