About the DS200NATOG2A
Manufactured by General Electric, the DS200NATOG2A NATO board is a professional voltage feedback scaling circuit board, belonging to the second-generation variant of the series. Its core operational function is to reduce and regulate both alternating and direct voltages on SCR bridge circuits. By executing this voltage conditioning task precisely, the module enables highly precise acquisition of bridge voltage feedback signals for system control.
As a G2-version unit, the DS200NATOG2A features a optimized hardware layout: two bottom-mounted resistors are replaced with wire jumpers, resulting in a configuration of four resistors for each signal string on the board.
The board transmits output signals via five independent signal strings interfaced with a 20-pin ribbon header. Multiple metal oxide varistors (MOVs) are integrated on the board to deliver overvoltage protection. In cases where the ribbon circuit suffers an open circuit while input voltage is still supplied, these MOVs can effectively suppress excessive output voltage spikes and safeguard the whole system. It is worth noting that the burden resistors required for the board’s normal operation are not integrated on this NATO board, but installed on the matched gate distribution status board.
For this G2 variant of the NATO voltage feedback sensing board, the attenuation voltage parameters are calibrated and adjusted via stab connectors and wire jumpers. The device supports a wide range of VLG and VLL input signals. For a typical configuration, a VLL input value of 2200 and a VLG input value of 1270.17 will generate a corresponding VLG output of 1.905. This specific signal configuration is realized through the coordination of dedicated wire jumpers, two precision resistors and the JxA input stab connector.
The DS200NATOG2A board complies with multiple authoritative industry certifications, including CSA, EC and UL standards. With standardized transient voltage control design, its electrical transient characteristics are fully stabilized and well-defined, ensuring reliable and safe operation in industrial control systems.
